Pinch to Build is a gesture-based feature that lets you customize and improve your app directly on your phone. Long-press anywhere on your app’s screen to open the Pinch to Build menu — no need to switch to a code editor or leave the Vibecode app.

How It Works

  1. Open your app in the Vibecode app on your phone
  2. Long-press anywhere on the screen (press and hold for about 1 second)
  3. The Pinch to Build menu appears with customization options
  4. Select what you want to change and describe the update in natural language
  5. The AI makes the changes and you see the result immediately

What You Can Do

Design Customization

Adjust colors, fonts, spacing, and visual styling. Tell the AI things like “make the background darker” or “use rounded corners on all buttons.”

Add Features

Request new functionality: “add a search bar,” “add sorting by date,” or “add a settings page.” The AI will implement it and show you the result.

Fix Issues

If something doesn’t look right or behave correctly, describe the problem: “the button is cut off on the right side” or “the list doesn’t scroll.”

Add Haptics & Feedback

Include tactile feedback for interactions: “add haptic feedback when I tap the submit button” or “add a success vibration.”

Advanced Modifications

Request more complex changes like adding categories, reminders, animations, or data persistence.
Start with small, focused requests. Instead of “redesign the whole app,” try “change the header color to blue” first, then iterate.

On the web app at vibecodeapp.com, you can achieve the same customizations by typing your requests directly into the chat. The Pinch to Build gesture is specific to the mobile app experience.
